On Saturday, May 26th the FireSmart team held a Community Wildfire Preparedness Day at ESB1. 70 Saturna residents and visitors were in attendance, learning about wildfire safety, FireSmart landscaping, and emergency preparedness. Prizes were won, and hot dogs were devoured. 18 property owners signed up for Wildfire Property Hazard Assessments, making a big step towards protecting not only their own homes, but our entire community from the threat of wildfire. Thanks to the FireSmart team and all our attendees for a great event!
